An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Health Services Researchers to join Health Technology Wales (HTW).

We are seeking to recruit two Health Services Researchers as part of our work for the Wales COVID-19 Evidence Centre. 

Under the direction of the Senior Health Services Researchers and the HTW Director, the post holders will carry out evidence reviews of varying length and complexity, from rapidly summarising research findings to carrying out more rigorous evidence reviews and synthesising the findings.

Collaborating with experts in the field and decision-making committees, the post holders will facilitate evidence-based decision making in Wales on a wide range of health and care topics. The post holders will focus on HTW’s work supporting the COVID-19 response in Wales, an area where our previous evidence reviews have directly informed Welsh Government policy making. The post holders will also contribute to HTW’s wider work assessing the evidence-based use of non-medicine health technologies as and when necessary.

These fixed-term positions are currently funded until 31st March 2023 but, we anticipate funding may be extended. These opportunities are also available on a secondment basis and part-time working will be considered. To apply for these positions on secondment you must secure approval from your current line manager, in advance of submitting an application.

As well as an appropriate degree and knowledge of using literature searching to identify evidence, you will have experience of critically evaluating evidence and communicating your findings to health and care stakeholders.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
