Atrial fibrillation is the most common heart rhythm disturbance in the UK, affecting approximately 1.4 million people. Pulsed field ablation (PFA) may be a more effective alternative to thermal energy ablation for treating atrial fibrillation.

Health Technology Wales researchers searched for evidence on the clinical and cost effectiveness of pulsed field ablation for atrial fibrillation.
