Compression therapy is an important part in the treatment of venous leg ulcers and lower limb oedema. Multicomponent compression systems in a single bandage are a newly developed, simplified format to deliver compression therapy.

Health Technology Wales researchers searched for evidence on the clinical and cost effectiveness of multicomponent compression systems in a single bandage for lower limb ulcers and oedema.

Based on the evidence identified, HTW’s Assessment Group concluded not to progress this topic to evidence appraisal.
