Welcome to the new recruits!
There’s been lots of new faces around the office lately as HTW gets another growth spurt. We’re pleased to announce the arrival of four new members to the team.
Tom Winfield will be leading the HTW health economic evaluations as our Senior Health Economist, and specialises in economic modelling. He worked for four years at Swansea Centre for Health Economics performing clinical trial evaluations and economic reviews.
Karen MacPherson is our new Principal Researcher. She has a wealth of experience in health services research and health technology assessment, and is joining us on a six month secondment from the Scottish Health Technologies Group (SHTG). Karen will working with the Midlands & Wales Advanced Therapy Treatment Centre (MW-ATTC) to lead on HTW’s work on advanced therapies.
Sarah McAllister and Helen Britton are our new Project Managers. Sarah has experience introducing and managing governance processes during her time as National Research Manager for NHS Blood and Transplant. Helen has extensive project management experience and an excellent understanding of the NHS in Wales and Government health policy agenda, following her time as Operational Manager for the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges in Wales.
To welcome our new additions, the HTW team enjoyed a celebratory meal at the deliciously quirky Sunflower & I.
And it’s not over yet! Two more new members of staff are joining HTW before the end of the year – more staff updates to follow. For more information about our team members, visit the HTW Team profile page.
